EMERALD HILLS COUNTRY GUESTHOUSE As you ride off the the Otago Central Rail Trail this is the view of the guesthouse. A lovely lawn and established trees are on the other side of the guesthouse.	EMERALD HILLS GARDEN An ever changing scene, in spring, bulbs, poppies and paeonies, in summer, roses and lavender, in autumn the trees take the glory and in winter, all is asleep sometimes under a blanket of snow!
GUESTHOUSE SUPERKING ROOM The largest bed of the house also converts into 2 extra long single beds. Sliding doors open directly onto the garden.	GUESTHOUSE TWIN ROOM Directly across from the bathroom, our twin room is bright and sunny with sliding door opening onto the garden.
GUESTHOUSE QUEEN ROOM Enjoy comfy bed and a good sleep ready for the Rail Trail again.	GUESTHOUSE KITCHEN After a day on the Rail Trail why not get dinner delivered in, or if you'd prefer we are completely set up for you to self cater. Enjoy our  home baking for afternoon tea!
GUESTHOUSE SHARED BATHROOM Enjoy a soak in the bath to ease the pain of the days rail trailing. Also shower over the bath.	MORE GUESTHOUSE LIVING ROOM Sunny and warm, with a great log burner for the evenings or wet days, you are sure to feel right at home.
GUESTHOUSE LIVING ROOM Stretch out and enjoy the peace on one of our couches. The living room looks out onto our lawns and trees which make a sheltered haven if it has been a blustery day on the rail trail.	EMERALD HILLS COUNTRY COTTAGE Our little rustic cottage, a labour of love, provides a very special place to stay. Quite unique on the Rail Trail.
COTTAGE DOUBLE ROOM WITH ENSUITE T and G walls, antique styled bed with lovely linen in soothing blues, our favourite room. A comfortable chair and a good book - or come down the the shared living room after your Rail Trail adventure.	COTTAGE TWIN ROOM WITH ENSUITE Our twin room is a peaceful, restful room, with blue and white bed linen and a comfortable chair, looking out onto the garden. This is also our disabled access room.
COTTAGE ENSUITE BATHROOM Our new ensuited bathrooms add a modern twist to our rustic country style rooms. The water pressure in both showers is fantastic, much enjoyed for aches and pains after a day on the Rail Trail!	COTTAGE VERANDAH Enjoy a drink at the end of the day under the verandah, eat dinner out here or simply rest and relax watching the evening unfold with the birdsong and the odd rabbit!
OUR FAMILY CAR! We are lucky enough to have Grandfather Kinney's 1923 Essex  tucked away in the shed at the guesthouse - she was bought new, and has lived on the Kinney property all her life!	EMERALD HILLS SIGN OFF THE RAIL TRAIL Look our for our big sign off the Rail Trail! We are 1 k.m after Hyde township on the Middlemarch side,  between Hyde and the Hyde Railway Station.
EMERALD HILLS SIGN FROM STATE HIGHWAY 87 If you are doing the Rail Trail with a back up vehicle, this is our sign at the road - 1 k.m on the Middlemarch side of Hyde township.	COTTAGE KITCHEN You have a full, if tiny, kitchen to self cater in or let us provide you with a beautifully plattered dinner to enjoy at your own pace. Breakfast is ready and waiting also. A lovely dining room table and home baked afternoon tea complete the scene.
