RAIL TRAIL ACCOMMODATION

BED & BREAKFAST OR
DINNER, BED & BREAKFAST
" By far the nicest, and certainly best value was Emerald Hills Guest House, $195 for 3 people B&B. Lovely house with all mod cons, roaring fire, comfy beds and beautiful fresh food for breakfast.
They also supplied a delicious dinner for $30 a head."
A quote from a guest passed on by the Otago Central Rail Trail Trust website.
Guests comments via email Nov 2010:
"We stayed for only one night at the beginning of our journey but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the experience proved superior to the other places we stayed on several levels. The attention to detail, friendliness (of both yourselves and the staff we met) and the willingness to go the extra mile (afternoon tea and gluten free meal options) far exceeded our expectations and made our stay so much more enjoyable.
We have been recommending Emerald Hills to others and would definitely stay again should the opportunity arise."
"Thank you for the very comfortable stay and lovely meal. Was a great place to stay on the last night of the trail."

Emerald Hills offers a two course set menu meal for $30/adult ($18/child sized servings), which for most groups we platter and leave for guests to warm when it suits them and we find most people choose this option. Guests enjoy the flexibility of eating at their leisure and at a time that suits them. The meal is to be recommended, if the comments we receive are anything to go by, and fresh local produce, with loads of seasonal vegetables are enjoyed by our guests almost nightly.
Please book dinner if you would like it. Unfortunately we cannot accept bookings on the day. Please advise of any dietary issues and if child sized meals are required when booking.
Alternatively, we welcome guests to self cater or use our BBQ.
WINE AND BEER ARE NOW AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE AT EMERALD HILLS.
We are delighted to have an off license at our home which enables you to order wine and beer and have us delivery it to you. We have followed our philosophy of embracing all things Otago and we stock only quality locally owned and produced Central Otago wine. We have a comprehensive selection of competitively priced wine and beer.
