We live in an amazing part of New Zealand and thanks to the Otago Central Rail Trail, more and more people are experiencing our stunning and remote Central Otago back blocks.

If you are planning to cycle, walk or horse back ride the Otago Central Rail Trail, please come and stay in our private, self contained bed and breakfast accommodation, Emerald Hills Country Guesthouse.

Right on the Rail Trail

You come straight off the Rail Trail into the back yard - all you have to do is get off your bikes, or maybe unsaddle the horses and let them loose in the paddock and then relax and enjoy your stay. It is your home for the duration of your stay - we live a couple of k.m's along the road!

So, 130 years after the Kinney's first came to Hyde, let us welcome you off the Otago Central Rail Trail for a true Southern experience. We have built our Bed and Breakfast business along side our hill country farm "Emerald Hills" and are proud to be able to offer Rail Trailers a place to relax and enjoy the tranquility that is Central Otago.
